Omega

Gotta say the final episode of Dollhouse–”Omega”–didn’t rock my sox quite as much as last week’s episode did. Reviewers are mixed. Some loved it, some say meh.

Alan Tudyk was still awesome and entertaining, and Tim Minear definitely delivered on some zippy dialogue. I loved the budding buddy relationship between Ballard and Langton. And there was a good twist at the end. We also got the backstory on Dr Saunders and Alpha.

However, the tension seemed to slack at points in what was supposed to be a frought and action-packed storyline–I found myself contemplating how DeWitt’s clothing can make her look lumpy even though she’s a stick, and why Tamoh Pinikett is dressed all of the time now–we need more undressing!

What to say for the future? It doesn’t seem likely that it will be renewed, but I, like many, will end up buying the DVD for a) Joss loyalty and b) the final episode. I guess keep an eye out at your nearest comic book store, which seems to be the fate for all things Joss.
