Random thoughts
- I’m not really up on the “famous” peoples, but is it not the case that Paris Hilton is attached to the brother of her ex BFF Nicole Ritchie’s baby daddy? How come they don’t report on this? Or maybe they do and I’m the last person in North America to figure this out. Or maybe I’m wrong? I can never remember the names of the boys involved and I’m too lazy to google it.
- “Forest of the Dead” is maybe the best two-part Dr Who that I’ve seen ever. Alex Kingston is solid lovely and on my list of girl crushes. The ending was mature and poignant in the good sense of the word. Wow.
- I might get flamed for this one, but I thought the season ender of BSG was a let-down. The scene on Earth was …predictable. However, the pentultimate ep rocked, written by the goddess Espenson. Dialogue was solid and the “love scene” was awesome. Adama Snr is one of my favorite characters these days.
- I’m a not-so-in-the-closet fan of So You Think You Can Dance. At least for Will, who is hot and graceful and manly and liquid all at the same time. Hoo-boy. My affection for this show does not exceed that for America’s Best Dance Crew, however. Sunday evenings are pretty awesome in these parts because they run back-to-back. I’m thinking about clearing out a space in the basement so I can do the scotchneat version.
- David Sedaris makes writing look so damn easy. I mean he records little life moments in a book that he keeps in his pocket and then he writes these insightful and snort-out-loud vignettes and why can’t I do that? And I’d like to marry Hugh. That is if he wasn’t on the other team.
